Not many players in NBA history have reached the heights that Steph Curry has reached, and even fewer have stayed at those nights for as long as he has. Making his first All-Star team in 2014, Curry has been dominating the NBA ever since, and has shown no signs of slowing down. Recognizing this himself, Curry recently said during an interview with PBS that his is still in the prime of his career.
“I still feel like I’m in the prime of my career, in a sense of what I’m able to accomplish,” Curry said. “Just out there and what the future may hold, trying to achieve, hopefully win more championships, and push the envelope as far as I can.”
On how he wants people to view his career, Curry said, “The biggest thing is just inspiration, right? Like, there’s something outside of me and the stats and the three-point record and championships and all that that gives people hope and belief of everything that [the Underrated documentary] speaks about… Basketball has opened up so many amazing doors, and it’s changed so many lives for the better. And to be able to do that in a very meaningful way is very surreal to me, just because this is a game that I just loved to play from the time I could walk.”
Still looking to build on his Hall-of-Fame career, Curry isn’t done yet.
