The Golden State Warriors celebrated 11/30/23 day on Thursday night vs. the LA Clippers. With a game falling on the date that includes the jersey numbers of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, the Warriors celebrated their dynasty trio and all that has been accomplished over the last 12 years. When asked about this celebration, Curry shared a heartfelt message about this run.
“It’s special,” Curry said. “It’s kind of a reminder of how special the journey has been. It’s hard to really like reflect or like watch the highlights and all that because we’re still in it and still trying to chase more, stay competitive, continue to evolve as people and as basketball players. Every once in a while you need a reminder of how special and legendary us three have been in these 12 years, all the teammates that we’ve played with over the course of the journey, and obviously it kind of lets you smile a little bit to look ahead at the challenge that’s in front of us to maintain that winning-kind of expectation. So all of it is really really dope.”
Understanding that he and his teammates are still chasing another championship, Curry does not want to be too reflective when looking at all they’ve accomplished, but he does recognize how special and unique it is. It won’t be easy for the Warriors to keep adding to their success, as winning only gets harder as the years go on, but this is a group that believes they still have what it takes to compete with the best.
