Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry not only flexed his Olympic gold medal during the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) this week, but he also made sure to send a strong message to America about the upcoming elections.
Curry made a virtual appearance at the DNC on Thursday to show his support for presidential candidate Kamala Harris and aspiring vice president Tim Walz. In his message, the Warriors guard echoed Michelle Obama’s recent call for the USA to “do something,” adding that the election is about “preserving hope and belief in our country.”
“This is about preserving hope and belief in our country. In the words of Michelle Obama, do something! Go vote. Be active,” Curry exclaimed.
“Let’s show out in November like never before.”
Steph Curry followed in the footsteps of his Warriors coach, Steve Kerr, who also spoke at the DNC earlier in the week. The veteran tactician encouraged voters to elect leaders who have “dignity” and always tell the truth.
Furthermore, Kerr emphasized the importance of their next leaders to “care for and love the people that they are leading.”
Clearly, Curry and the Warriors—like they did in past years—are taking an active approach when it comes to the elections and using their platform to get people to practice their right.
