After a gut wrenching loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Golden State Warriors are looking to get back on track against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night. The Warriors have released their injury report for this game, and Steph Curry is not listed, meaning he is available to play.
Curry is of course coming off a historic 60-point performance in the loss to Atlanta. With this 60-point explosion, Curry became just the 10th player in NBA history with multiple 60-point games.
As has been the story for much of this season, Curry’s dominance in Atlanta was not enough to get a victory. This loss dropped the Warriors to 21-25 on the season, as they remain outside of the Western Conference play-in picture. While none of the teams battling for that final play-in spot are playing all that well right now, Golden State has been unable to break into that top 10.
Currently sitting in 12th place, the Warriors are in serious danger of missing the playoffs entirely, which would be an absolute disaster considering the level that Curry is still playing at. That said, the Warriors are just one game back of the 10th seed, which is that final play-in spot, so all is not lost just yet for Golden State.
This game against the Nets is one the Warriors have to get.
