On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors were in Sacramento facing off against the Kings.
The Warriors led by as many as 24 points but ended up losing the game by a score of 124-123.
After the game, two-time MVP Steph Curry met with the media and shared an honest reaction (h/t Warriors on NBCS).
Curry: “We all got to look ourselves in the mirror and figure out what we individually can do better. In those deciding moments of a game, better decisions, better discipline to not foul, all the little things that we know impacts winning. That’s the only way we’re gonna get out of this little funk where you’re playing hard and you have nothing to show for it.”
Curry finished the game with 29 points, ten rebounds, six assists and one block while shooting 8/20 from the field and 4/12 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.
With the loss, the Warriors dropped to 8-10 in their first 18 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 2-8 over their previous ten games and 5-4 in the nine games they have played on the road.
Following the Kings, the Warriors will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
The Kings improved to 10-6 in their first 16 games, and De’Aaron Fox led the way with 29 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.
