On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors were blown out by the New Orleans Pelicans (141-105) on their home floor at the Chase Center.
The Warriors have been one of the best franchises in the NBA over the past decade, but they have struggled in a significant way this season.
Right now, they are in the middle of a two-game losing streak, and fans have booed the team in both games.
After the tough loss, two-time MVP Steph Curry met with the media and was asked about the boos.
Curry: “I don’t take it any certain type of way. Honestly, I’m booing myself. Booing our team in my head because of the way we’re playing. It is what it is. Fans are gonna react the way that they want. It’s our job to give them something to cheer about, and we have not done that.”
Curry finished his night with 15 points, one rebound, six assists and one steal while shooting 4/13 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range in 25 minutes of playing time.
He is averaging 26.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 44.7% from the field and 39.8% from the three-point range in 35 games.
The Warriors are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 17-20 record in their first 37 games.
Following the Pelicans, they will now go on the road for four straight games, and the first will be against the Chicago Bulls on Friday evening at the United Center.
