In 2022, Stephen Curry and Barack Obama once again came in contact with an interview centered on the ex-president’s memoir, A Promised Land. The duo discussed various aspects of the 62-year-old ex-POTUS’ personal and professional journey. During the conversation, Obama brought it an interesting take. He added, “You know grandparents can be lifesavers…” Steph instantly agreed to it and took the conversation ahead.
He highlighted how the grandparents help to humble their kids despite their celebrity status. The Dubs superstar said, “They carry the same temperament and perspective… you have the highest office in the land… but your kids don’t have them.” Following, 2x US president went on to narrate a story of his mother-in-law humbling her grandkids. He even mimicked her words.
He said, “You all do understand you haven’t done nothing y’all have just a long run if you get elected president someday maybe one day you can tell me what to do.”
Apart from these interviews, they both exchange gifts and Steph has shared one of the most interesting gifts.
Steph’s present to Obama
In a recent interview with Complex, Steph spoke about his love for sneakers and how it impacted his. Meanwhile, recognizing the superstar’s friendship with the former president, the host asked whether he had presented any sneaker to him. Steph instantly said ‘Yes’ and reasoned why he gave. He added, “We got to visit a couple times but yeah, I gave him gave him a pair if he can have a little memorabilia.”
