Stephen Curry is one of the most influential athletes in the sports world today. Not only has he garnered a Hall of Fame resume as an NBA player, but he is also making immense strides in the world of Golf. The 4-time Champion took the golfing world by storm last year after winning the American Century Championship in July. A major reason for Curry’s golfing success has been the high-tech equipment that he uses.
The Golden State Warriors superstar added to his golfing arsenal through a $2.6 billion brand that has been with Steph for nearly 5 years.
Stephen Curry upgrades golfing gear for 2024
NBA’s golfing phenomenon Stephen Curry is ready to take on 2024. The Warriors superstar shared a video on Instagram, collaborating with long-time golf partners Callaway Golf. The video showed Steph upgrading his golfing gear with Callaway Golf’s latest Paradym Ai Smoke driver. Before the massive upgrade, Steph used the Paradym Triple Diamond driver last year. The new driver has more data points than ever before to track the most minute details during a swing. With Callaway Golf’s Ai Smart Face technology, the new driver will provide a level of personalization that has never been experienced by the players.
Steph had a tremendous season playing with the Triple Diamond last year, and he will look to have an even better year in 2024. The Baby-Faced Assassin has been a partner with Callaway Golf since 2019. And they announced a massive multi-year partnership extension at the beginning of last year. With the way Steph’s golfing career is panning out, it does not look like this partnership is going to end anytime soon.
Can Stephen Curry have a better golfing year than 2023?
Steph has been passionate about golf since he was a little kid. He played the sport during high school and college but decided to pursue basketball as a career. Now that he has all the resources in the world, Steph is simultaneously following his passion for golf. He defeated over 90 talented opponents in the celebrity American Century Championship last summer, bagging prize money of $125,000. The Warriors superstar then went on to do a golfing show, “Niiice Shot” featuring some of the most legendary names in the Golf world. In the show, Steph recreated iconic shots by legends, including Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth.
The 4-time Champion finished the year by taking home the Charlie Sifford Award for his contribution to advancing diversity in golf. 2023 was a great year for Stephen Curry. And he will hope to have an even better year in 2024 with all the equipment upgrades and championship experience in his arsenal this season.
