Stephen Curry had a fantastic start of the season with the Golden State Warriors but recent games have shown him struggling more to score points. Last night against the Miami Heat, there was an interesting play in which he recovered the ball and drove it down the court to score two points himself. He doesn’t always have the capabilities to carry the team on his own, Stephen Curry gets tired as well. At the end of the game, the Warriors had lost 114-102 as coach Steve Kerr mentioned the team is demoralized right now. He is the one who tries to get the best possible starting lineup but he does have a limited roster at the moment.
The Warriors have a problems since Draymond Green was suspended due to his disciplinary issues. Not having the best defensive player on the team is affecting the Warriors in more ways than everybody thought. For Stephen Curry, all the work becomes double of what he does when Green is there. But coach Steve Kerr can’t use that as an excuse, he is doing everything in his power to find solutions. When asked about Curry’s performance, the coach said: “It wasn’t his night. This is all part of an 82-game season where guys are gonna have some tough nights, some tough stretches. I’m not worried about Steph, that’s for sure.”
In terms of stats, Stephen Curry had a quiet night with only 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Two consecutive defeats against the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat are more than enough to get people slightly worried. Although they will have a chance to get back in their groove when they play against the Dallas Mavericks next Saturday. Currently, Golden State sits with a 15-16 record in the NBA.
