The Beekeeker, starring Jason Statham, will return in April on 4K Blu-Ray!

It’s been a while since I have done a home release post so it’s no time like the present and what better action movie to announce its way onto 4K then The Stath’s The Beekeeper. Heralded by many (myself included) as one of the best action movies of the year, or recent years for that matter, the movie will buzz its way onto 4K, Blu-Ray and DVD on April 23rd. Scroll below for the box art which is the official key art for the flick!

In The Beekeeper (like you already don’t know) “one man’s brutal campaign for vengeance takes on national stakes after he is revealed to be a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organization known as Beekeepers.”

David Ayer (End of Watch, Sabotage, Fury, Suicide Squad) helms the pic which is hopefully the first of many collaborations for the director and action star. the two are already working on another film called Levon’s Trade.

In my eyes, this is certainly the best output from Statham and showcases his finest action set pieces and delivers his newest no holds barred anti-hero for this generation. I gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 in my review saying, “The Beekeeper is signature Statham as he brings us his most hard-hitting actioner to date. The lore is top tier, and the action sequences are relentless and in your face from the word go. Statham is truly one of the last great action stars out there and he is the one that will clearly take up the mantle when the icons are long gone. The movie is completely ridiculous on so many levels but who cares as action fans get what they so desperately need in a taut, tight package of a movie that has the best fight sequences to date. Up until now, I always thought that Wrath of Man was the best Statham had to offer but The Beekeeper kicks that movie in the teeth several times over and lights it on fire and, just to be clear, I flat out love Wrath of Man. This one is simply a master class which is in session and your professors are David Ayer and Jason Statham.“
