Golden State Warriors Steph Curry has had the good fortune of playing alongside some terrific players in his career. From one-time MVP and two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant to many-time All-Stars Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, Curry has been surrounded by incredible talent during his time in the NBA.
However, if there were one player he could choose to play with that he never had the chance to, it would be none other than Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.
Mindblowing backcourt
While Curry wasn’t asked to explain his choice, one can surmise why he chose His Airness. Jordan is widely considered the greatest player of all time, and he revolutionized the game with his athleticism, skill, and competitiveness.
Curry has often been compared to Jordan for his impact on the sport. Both players have won multiple MVP awards and led their teams to championship victories. Seeing them play together would be a dream for basketball fans everywhere.
But perhaps it’s not just about the on-court success that Curry envisions playing with Jordan. The two are known for their incredible work ethic and dedication to perfecting their craft. Playing alongside someone like that can only elevate one’s own game and bring out the best in each other.
MJ doesn’t think Steph is the greatest PG of all time
Steph once shared with Gilbert Arenas that he believes he’s the greatest point guard ever. However, upon catching wind of Steph’s comments, MJ took time to respond to Curry’s comments, asserting that his good friend Magic Johnson is, in fact, the greatest point guard in NBA history.
“Although greatest of anything is always a debate, I beg to differ on greatest point guard of all-time… Magic Johnson is easily the best point guard of all time. Steph Curry is very close, but not in front of Magic,” Jordan said in a message to renowned talking head Stephen A. Smith.
