On Tuesday evening, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season.
They will host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
Before the season tipped off for the Warriors, Curry posted four photos to X (on Monday night), and there were over 26,000 likes and 1.3 million impressions in less than 24 hours.
Curry is coming off another fantastic regular season where he averaged 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range in 56 games.
If he hadn’t missed 26 games due to injuries, it’s possible that he would have been in MVP discussions.
In the NBA playoffs, Curry averaged 30.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field and 36.3% from the three-point range in 13 games.
After beating the Sacramento Kings in the first round, the Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round (in six games).
Curry has spent his entire 14-year career with Golden State (this will be his 15th season) and has led them to four NBA Championships over the previous nine seasons.
Meanwhile, the Suns are one of the best teams in the NBA, and last year they were the fourth seed in the west.
They beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round but lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round (in six games).
