The Golden State Warriors are facing the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night, and Steph Curry is not listed on the injury report, meaning he is available to play. Curry helped lead the Warriors to a big victory over the Orlando Magic in Golden State’s last game, which was the game that Draymond Green was ejected from in the first quarter.
The Warriors have just a one game lead over the 11th seed Houston Rockets, and will need to continue winning games in order to hold them off. Charlotte is one of the worst teams in basketball, and should be very beatable for Golden State. That said, the Warriors do have some very bad losses this season to inferior opponents, and will have to bring the right level of focus and intensity for this game.
As previously mentioned, the Warriors are far from locking up a guaranteed spot in the play-in tournament. A 10-game win streak from the Rockets has them right behind Golden State in the standings, which puts a lot of pressure on the Warriors to continue winning games. That said, Golden State understands that they control their own destiny and can focus on themselves.
This game against the Hornets is certainly one that Golden State should get as they look to stack as many wins as possible between now and the end of the season.
