Lewis Hamilton, being one of the most famous F1 drivers of all time, has attracted a lot of female attention over the years. He has been linked with some of the top A-list celebrities, including his long-time girlfriend, Nicole Scherzinger, and Shakira. Things came to an end with the Colombian sensation, as Lewis Hamilton wanted a child, but that was not something Shakira wanted.
The two are still on good terms, as they have maintained their friendship to date. Recently, Shakira made an appearance on the First We Feast YouTube channel in their Hot Ones session. After she shared some spicy details about her life, Lewis Hamilton followed to make his debut on the show after several cancellations. Let’s see how that unfolded.
Lewis Hamilton, The Hot One, on YouTube
Lewis Hamilton started the show nervously, as the Hot Ones sessions involved going through some hot sauces on wings while sharing details of their lives. Mind you that the Mercedes driver is a vegan, so the show arranged vegan wings for the session. The first question prompted was about his pet peeve when it comes to working on racing movies. To that, Lewis Hamilton answered, “Racing movies, I feel like it’s very hard to capture them. Sometimes when I’m watching them, I’ll notice, like, they have them shifting too much, which I understand because it does look good on camera.”
The second question got technical as the interview asked “What goes into perfectly calibrating your race weight and then what are the implications of being off by just a pound or two?” Hamilton broke down the importance of weight management in an F1 car saying, “Basically, a kilo or 10 kilos, like when we go to a racetrack, 10 kilos is usually worth between .25 or .3 tenths of a second. So immediately, if you put 10 kilos of fuel, 22 pounds of fuel in the car, you’ll just go slower.”
However, the next question asked Hamilton, “When are you most in conflict with the machine that you’re driving?” The 7-time world champion whimsically answered, “At the moment, every second.” This was a nudge to the way the W15 has been performing from the beginning of the season. But then he dived into the technical answer and explained, “Probably at the beginning of the race, you know, when you’re on heavy fuel. You can’t go 100%, you can’t do qualifying laps every lap, so you have to pull back and try to hit the corners a little bit slower to go longer basically.”
The session continued as Lewis Hamilton ate down wings, which sometimes gave him a lapse of spice between his answers. The interview took a turn towards more personal questions, moving away from the racing aspect, and that was followed by a breakdown of some racing lingo.
Lewis Hamilton talks about Roscoe with his mouth on fire
The rule of the show was that after every question, the host and Hamilton took a bite of a new level of spicy sauce. By now, things are getting heated in the interview and definitely in the Mercedes driver’s mouth. The next question asked was about Roscoe and how Hamilton decided that the bulldog was the best friend he needed in his life. Hamilton then explained that he always wanted a small dog as he would need to travel with his companion.
The 7-time world champion then explained that Roscoe is one of the easiest puppers to handle, as he has never chewed on anything. Things got funny with the next answer, as Hamilton was asked about his bulldog’s favorite race tradition. Roscoe really enjoys pooping near the other drivers’s motorhomes. The 39-year-old revealed that George Russell and Fernando Alonso have been the lucky recipients of Roscoe’s compliments.
There were a few other questions that Hamilton answered, and some of them were explaining race terms to the host. Terms like Blistering were mentioned, where Hamilton cracked a joke, saying the condition of his mouth as the spice levels were catching up to him. After asking the host his post-show rituals and a few more rounds of questions and saucy wings later, the two concluded what was one hot and spicy interview with the F1 driver.
It is to be noted that Lewis Hamilton got through all the spicy sauces and did not need more than a sip of milk to tone it down. That being said, do you have a spice tolerance level as good as Lewis Hamilton? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
