NBA superstar Stephen Curry paid a visit to the University of Maryland Baltimore County on Thursday to showcase how he prepares for games.
Curry is widely considered one of the best shooters to ever play the game. The Under Armour signature athlete drew large crowds.
“We’re just excited to see Steph Curry. We thought it would be a great opportunity to see him in person since she just saw his documentary,” Jessica Salas-Brooks said.
“We wanted to take our boy out to spend some time with him, and basketball is life, so we love Steph Curry,” Denesa Harris said. “He’s an amazing basketball player. He’s committed. My husband is always talking about how much he practices on his free throws. Watching him play is amazing.”
Harris’ son thinks so too.
“I like him because they win so much,” Trayvon Harris said. With Curry at the helm, the Golden State Warriors have won championships in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022.
The showcase featured a shooting workout by Curry, a three-point competition, a skills challenge and more. Curry is a two-time MVP award winner.
“I love basketball and I have an appreciation for Steph Curry,” fan Ryan Booby said.
“His shot is very pure. I like watching him play,” fan Charles Sanderson said.
“He inspired me to play basketball and get better,” fan Obi Agbin said.
He certainly inspired the crowd that attended the showcase, which was free and sold out.
