Unexpected Injury Status for Steph Curry Against the Boston Celtics

The Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics are set to face off in a 2022 NBA Finals rematch on Sunday afternoon, and superstar point guard Steph Curry has been unexpectedly added to the injury report. The Warriors are listing Curry as questionable for this game with right knee bursitis.

Curry’s addition to the injury report is unexpected, since he was able to play 30 minutes vs. the Toronto Raptors without any noted issues. That said, the Warriors have been monitoring Curry closely to make sure he is not being overworked at this point in the season.

The Warriors have been rolling, winning eight of their last 10 games, including three-straight. While this hasn’t resulted in much movement in the standings, the Warriors are now in 9th as opposed to 10th, and sit just three games back of the 5th seed.

This game against the Celtics will be a real test for the Warriors, especially if Curry is unable to go. Boston has been the best team in basketball all season, and are heavy favorites most places to come out of the Eastern Conference, and even win the title.

For Golden State, they are taking things one game at a time, as they are trying to climb out of the play-in picture. Curry’s status is of course the biggest story heading into this game vs. Boston.
