The Golden State Warriors have released their injury report for Tuesday night’s game vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Steph Curry was unexpectedly added. Curry is being listed as questionable with right knee soreness.
Curry scored 38 points in a loss to these Timberwolves on Sunday night, and his status is now in question for the rematch on Tuesday. The Warriors have dropped three-straight games after starting 6-2, and certainly cannot afford to lose Curry.
Averaging over 30 PPG, Curry is the only Warriors player averaging over 17 PPG. Also the only Warriors player to score more than 20 points in a game this season, Curry has been a one man show for most of the year, which makes it an even greater concern whenever his status for a game is in question.
Without anybody else playing well right now on offense, the Warriors will have a very tough time vs. the Timberwolves on Tuesday if Curry cannot go. Having already lost to Minnesota despite 38 points from Curry, the Warriors know they need their star guard available for this one. That said, the Warriors certainly won’t push it if Curry is not 100%, especially with it being this early in the season.
A final status update on Curry will likely come from the Warriors shortly before tip-off on Tuesday, which is at 7:00 PM PST.
