“Up at Four”: Ric Flair Reveals Charlotte Flair and Dwayne Johnson’s Grueling Film Shoot Schedule Similarities Before WWE Return

Charlotte Flair has missed out on bringing her star power to all WWE PLEs in 2024 till now. Suffering an arduous injury last year put her out of commission for WrestleMania season and beyond. However, her return could be imminent with her recent appearance at WWE World at Mania XL. Furthermore, her father, Ric Flair, updated her recovery journey by invoking a comparison to Dwayne Johnson.

The December 8, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown was the last time fans saw Charlotte Flair in action. During her match with Asuka, she suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. These serious injuries required surgery and around nine months of recovery time. Contrary to expectations, no update emerged from herself after her Mania appearance.

But now fans have finally gotten an update on what the former WWE Women’s champ is up to. Sitting down with the hosts of the Busted Open podcast, The Nature Boy talked about his life. While reminiscing about his past glory days, he was asked about his daughter.

He said, “Great. She’s making a movie right now with my good friend, Smith. Oh, she’s over in Santo Domingo.” The movie in question is the Indie horror You Lose, You Die. Flair will be sharing the lead role with actor Freddy Rodriguez. Following this, he also shared Charlotte Flair’s workout routine.

Ric Flair said, “Regardless of what she’s doing, she still works out twice a day. I mean, and I’m sure she’s up at four.” Saying this, he made a comparison to Dwayne Johnson. The WWE legend added, “It’s kind of like the respect you have for Dwayne. Dwayne that lifting weights before he was on set every day.” The Dirtiest Player in the game explained how The Rock’s discipline helped him get into the best shape of his life. His daughter, Charlotte, is following this while on the set of her movie. Her strict discipline hints at quickly returning to the squared circle once her shoot ends. Perhaps fitting into the same time frame as the return of The Brahma Bull?

Charlotte Flair and Dwayne Johnson could return at SummerSlam

While there is no confirmation when The Rock or Flair could return, speculations suggest SummerSlam. Both superstars have planted seeds for feuds before leaving the WWE. The Final Boss is set to continue his feud with Cody Rhodes with the WWE Universal title in his crosshairs. Before getting hurt, Flair encountered Jade Cargill backstage.

Fans popped at this encounter, pushing WWE to plan a potential feud. However, Cargill wouldn’t make her in-ring debut until the Women’s Royal Rumble. Moreover, Flair was recovering by this time, which halted the plans. SummerSlam will be in August, giving both stars ample time to complete their projects and have an epic return. What do you think?
