It must be intimidating to be a rookie for the Golden State Warriors but Brandin Podziemski is ready to play.
A video shared on Twitter shows Podziemski attempting the viral full-court drill perfected by Stephen Curry.
In the drill, Podziemski has to shoot a three-pointer from different parts of the court, all while racing around and setting up his shot in a very short amount of time.
In the end, Podziemski sank eight of ten shots, which isn’t bad when you consider just how challenging this exercise is.
Podziemski was selected as the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
The guard has a lot of skills that he has shown off in college but it’s not yet clear what his role will be on the Warriors roster.
The team currently has a surplus of great guards.
With both Curry and Chris Paul, that position is very well covered.
But this video proves that Podziemski is willing to do what it takes to become a reliable bench player for the squad and he’s looking to make an impact for the team.
Podziemski is in a spot that so many other young players dream of.
Not only is he on one of the most iconic teams in NBA history but he is also playing behind two of the best guards of all time.
The knowledge that he can soak up from those two will be influential and important in the years ahead.
Right now Podziemski is on the court, getting ready for his first season in the league.
What will his rookie year and the ones that follow be like for Podziemski?
