The prime of Stephen Curry is quickly running out, so the Golden State Warriors could be looking for another star this offseason to help him reach the mountaintop one last time.
During an interview with 95.7 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs,” ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne said that she thinks the Warriors are going to be in the market for another star to pair with the 36-year-old Curry.
“Last time I was on the show with you I mentioned I thought they’d go big-game hunting, I still think that, that’s how the Warriors roll,” Shelburne said. “I don’t see any world in which they trot back out the same team and hope it goes better. I think they make some changes and try to get this team better. You just don’t have a guy like Steph Curry on your team and a mediocre cast around him. You just don’t do that.”
The Warriors season ended in disappointing fashion, as they lost to De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA Play-In Tournament. So if they want to make another run with Curry, the team might need to shake up the roster.
There have been a number of stars that have been linked to the Warriors, including a possible reunion with Kevin Durant. But no matter what they end up doing, Curry and the rest of the team will do whatever it takes to get to the Finals one last time.
