Steph Curry is one of the biggest names in basketball and many players would love to be in the same team as him, but who does he wish that he could play alongside?
The Golden State Warriors point guard has given his fans an insight into who he rates the highest, and he did so whilst speaking to his father on his new Heat Check podcast.
The conversation was flowing with Dell Curry, and that was when Steph chose Tim Duncan as his dream teammate.
“Tim Duncan. I saw the tail end of his career when I played in one playoff series against him. He’s obviously one of the greatest power forwards in the history of the league, but when you have somebody that one play for the same franchise his whole career again was a guy that no matter at what point in your career you play with him everybody has just amazing things to say about his leadership ability,” Curry said.
“He’s a true champion and a winner. I know a lot goes into that, and it’s hard to just put a sound bite on it, but it’d be awesome to play with him,” he continued.
Curry remains one of the best
For those who remember Curry’s many interviews well, this will not be a surprise. In 2023, he was asked to name his dream team and he chose Duncan as his favorite ever center.
Kevin Durant recently spoke about Curry when discussing the potential involvement of Team USA’s biggest current names when the 2028 LA Olympics comes around.
“I mean, these guys are still playing at elite level, you know. Like Bron could play four or five more. It might be here in 28 in LA, you know. Steph still playing great ball, I’m doing alright too. So I don’t want to look at it that way. I think we still got some good ball in the tank.”, said Durant to reporters after facing Canada.
